This is the news announcement that appeared on Page 28 in the Evening Edition of the Omaha World Herald, on Friday, April 17th, 1959. It refers to the parade that takes place on Saturday (the next day), which would be April 18, 1959.

First Florence Stables Parade Announcement

The tradition continues each year with the Florence Days two-day event taking place on Saturday and Sunday, with the traditional parade taking place on Saturday. In recent years, the event has taken place in May, and for the last several years, it has taken place on the 2nd weekend, which is the same as Mother's Day weekend.
