In 2003, the Florence Historical Foundation built a new building one address to the east, and named it Florence City Hall.  The new City Hall is used as a community meeting place.  It has a kitchen, large seating area, and stage.  The stage is used throughout the year by the Florentine Players for their melodramas and other shows.
